Operational Updates - COVID-19
In light of the current status of the COVID-19 situation, Homemakers is working diligently with our leadership and staff to create a safe environment for all parties. We have made the following changes to our standard operating procedures, and are constantly monitoring and acting upon recommendations from the CDC to guide us through this time. We will continue to update this page as the situation, and our status, evolves in the coming days.
SHOWROOM CLOSING - SATURDAY, MARCH 21st AT 7PM
While we have worked hard to follow CDC guidelines to keep our store a safe and healthy environment for our associates and customers, in an effort to help to slow down the spread of the virus, Homemakers will plan to temporarily close our showroom at 7pm, Saturday, March 21st. Despite our showroom being closed, we look forward to serving your home furnishing needs at Homemakers.com. For now, we will continue with our shipping services and our easy, customer pickup area will be open for reduced hours (listed below). We will have a limited number of customer service agents available via over the phone or via Live Chat on our website to help with any questions our customers might have about open orders. We will continue to update this page as we know more about reopening plans.
We recognize the impact our store closing has on our employees and their families, and are committed to helping our whole Homemakers family through this time. All full-time employees will be paid their full salaries for two calendar weeks of pay after our store closure.

In-Home Delivery - in Iowa
We are suspending all in-home deliveries at the current time. Please see details below on our Store Pickups and Shipping options for alternative ways to receive your furniture. Shipping - in Iowa
We are currently continuing to serve our customers with our shipping option. This option includes placement of all furniture in factory packaging inside your garage, in your driveway, or outside the first-floor entry of your home or apartment.
Store Pickups & Returns - Reduced Hours
Our easy, drive through pickup area and our returns area are open as follows:

Monday-Saturday: 10am - 6pm
Sunday: 11am - 6pm
Room of Choice Delivery - outside of Iowa
We've received the following notification from CEVA, our current delivery provider for Room of Choice deliveries outside the state of Iowa. Effective 3/21/2020, the following changes are being made to CEVA's delivery procedures:
- Room of Choice delivery services will be suspended until conditions allow us to safely reinstitute them.
- CEVA will continue to provide threshold deliveries to the “first dry space” based upon the customer’s scheduled appointment.
- CEVA will also continue to offer NSR – No Signature Required service.
- Prior to 3/21/20, CEVA will continue to handle Room of Choice deliveries on a case-by-case approach. If, due to customer’s concerns or service provider limitations, the in-home service cannot be accomplished, CEVA will downgrade the service to threshold. You will be notified and the corresponding invoice will be corrected to reflect the reduced service level.
